Quote:

A Camel restores my energy. And I enjoy Camel's mild flavor so much that I smoke a lot. I can smoke as many Camels as I like, though, without bothering my nerves.

Comments:

This advertisement is targeted toward housewives. It appeals to women who find shopping exhausting, offering them a “lift” in energy through smoking Camels. The top half of the ad is devoted to color images of a woman checking items off her shopping list in an exhausted stupor, and then relaxing satisfyingly with a Camel. The lower half of the ad features three testimonials from professional men and includes their black-and-white photographs. These testimonials serve as trustworthy sources of advice for women who are used to seeking advice from their husbands.
