Some documents in this case include two articles from Reader’s Digest, noteworthy for being the first to expose the dangers of cigarette smoke. The others are from Big Tobacco, in which they refuse to acknowledge guilt in the case of the American Tobacco Company, or they offer to “aid” research efforts. The Philip Morris paper, imprinted with their famous “Johnny Calls for Philip Morris,” offers tips to improve smoking comfort.
