A sophisticated couple lounges together under an Oriental umbrella at the beach. Instead of a simple “Keep Kissable” advertisement, which Old Gold employed to target female consumers, this advertisement reads, “Keep Cool,” and manages to target both male and female audiences. The ad claims that “Science proves” that Old Gold cigarettes are the “COOLEST, throat-easiest cigarette,” citing “75 repeated tests” comparing the four leading cigarette brands for coolness.
