Cigarette
Quote:

Light an Old Gold for young ideas. Old Gold isn't a dry Martini, in disguise. But smokers do say they get a pleasant stimulation from this extremely mild cigarette. That's due to Old Gold's exceptionally smooth and 'biteless' tobacco. It acts as a gentle 'pick-me-up' with never a 'kick-back' either to the nerves or throat.

Comments:

This advertisement blatantly targets youth; a young woman runs healthily along the beach, the wind whipping through her billowing cover-up. The slogan, “Light an Old Gold for young ideas” firmly sets its sights on teens and young adults. In the copy text, three phrases are placed in quotes to indicate that they are colloquial in a further attempt to attract youngsters: “’biteless’ tobacco,” “gentle ‘pick-me-up,” and “never a ‘kick-back.’”

Cough, Health, Throat
