Guard Against throat-Scratch.

Comments:

This dapper gentleman appears young and affluent. A woman stands in the background, smoking a Pall Mall as well. It is unclear whether this is meant to appeal to the female demographic or to indicate that men who smoke Pall Malls are powerful and attractive. The ad claims that Pall Malls “guard against throat-scratch” because the length of the cigarette acts as a filter for the smoke. The length of the cigarette he smokes is accentuated, looking ridiculous in his hand. This advertisement is a direct response to the worries of the general public concerning the health risks related to smoking cigarettes.

Keywords:

Male, Mild, Throat
