Guard Against throat-Scratch.
This dapper young man appears to be young and affluent. The ad claims that Pall Malls “guard against throat-scratch” because the length of the cigarette acts as a filter for the smoke. The length of the cigarette he smokes is accentuated, looking ridiculous in his hand. A smaller image at the bottom of the ad shows countless men offering Pall Malls to women at a party. In the front of the crowd, a little girl shows a picture to an older gentleman, unaware of the second-hand smoke enveloping her.
