Most ludicrous of all is the conflation of less irritation meaning the cigarettes are “therefore safer to smoke,” when there is no such thing as a “safe” cigarette. The ad also claims it makes “no claim of curative effects,” whereas it certainly claims that smokers who switched to Philip Morris experienced completely “cleared up or definitely improved” nose and throat irritation.
