Quote:

Luckies use only the clean, center leaves, for these are the mildest leaves- they taste better. That's why farmers are paid higher prices for them. And Luckies get the benefit of the famous process- It's Toasted for your throat protection.

Comments:

A beautiful woman leans forward to light her Lucky Strike cigarette, as a larger-than-life Lucky looms in the background. The ad’s slogan, “Luckies are always in All-Ways kind to your throat” presents Lucky Strikes as a “mild” cigarette which will not irritate the throat, or cause harm. They refer to the tobacco used as “clean.” In essence, Lucky is claiming a healthy cigarette that has the ability to prevent illness, as it claims the toasting process is undergone “for throat protection.”
