Comments:

This advertisement depicts a couple unpacking their dishes after moving into a new place, and compares it to switching or “moving” to Kent as your new brand in cigarette. The woman smokes a Kent herself and offers one to her husband, and it looks as if he is going to pull the cigarette straight from the box with his lips. The cylinder from which the man pulls the dishes acts as the packing box, but also resembles a cigarette with the packing materials resembling the dried, crushed tobacco leaves. Additionally, the white background and the couple’s all-white clothing associate Kent cigarettes with purity; With Kent’s advertisement of their “famous Micronite filter,” it is clear that purity is a huge marketing ploy for Kent.
