Comments:

This new bride and groom are packing for her honeymoon while still wearing their wedding clothes. The bride and her white wedding gown represent purity, one of the adjectives with which cigarettes try to associate themselves; filters, low tar, and purity are all marketing ploys tobacco companies utilize to make cigarettes appear safer and healthier. However, the pink negligee she holds up covers the pure white gown, and speaks to the naughty side of Benson & Hedges, appealing to a younger crowd. The tip of the man’s cigarette stands erect in a sexual innuendo that drives home the advertisement’s implications.

Keywords:

Cool, Domesticity, Female, Marriage, Mild
