Comments:

This advertisement, resembling a comic strip, appeals to the younger set. The comic features an unlikely couple at their wedding – the man is smaller and geeky, and the woman is buxom and beautiful. Their dialogue is amusing in the pet names they choose for one another, from “Lambchop” to “Snookums.” A pack of Doral cigarettes dances and sings, “Taste Me!” before she can cut the cake, but she is in disbelief because the cigarette claims to be low in tar and nicotine, but also have great flavor. As they ride off into the sunset, the woman happily smokes her Doral cigarette, exclaiming “I DO!” like the taste of Dorals. This ad targets the youth demographic and takes advantage of the purity associated with weddings when advertising its low tar and low nicotine filter.
