Comments:

Pictured here is Marie Princess Paul Troubetskoy, a Russian royal who, according to the advertisement, was “well known in both literary and social circles.” Society women were featured in cigarette ads from the 1920s well into the 1930s as exemplars of good taste. The Princess’s affluence is apparent from the décor of the room, as well as by her haute couture fashion.
