Comments:

Throughout the decades, tobacco companies have capitalized on fashion, glamour and beauty to market their products to women. Dressed in a green and red billowy top, this woman stands with her weight on one hip, casually holding a burning Lucky Strike cigarette. The colors of her top as well as the colors of the background reflect the shades of the Lucky Strike pack, and demonstrate the ways in which a woman might make the pack match her outfit; Lucky Strike was concerned that the green color of their packs would push away female clients, because green clashed with the fashionable colors at the time. Additionally, there are similarities between the woman’s outfit and a graduation cap and gown, causing the woman to appear young and educated.
