Ricoro? That's What the Doctor Ordered! said the traffic manager. My nerves are jumping from over work, so I phoned the doctor and told him my trouble.

Comments:

This ad recalls a conversation between a doctor and his patient. The patient complained of being overworked and anxious, and the doctor diagnosed his ailment as due to “heavy cigars.” The doctor “prescribed” Ricoro cigars, a “light and mild” smoke, which would, according to the ad, allow the patient to smoke as many cigars as he wished. An image of the doctor and his patient lighting up together, puffing away on their cigars as the doctor reaches toward the patient with his stethoscope is sobering.

Doctor, Elderly, Male
