Comments:

Jerry Ambler (1912-1958) provides Camel with the endorsement for this ad. A year before this ad was printed, Ambler was crowned the World’s Champion Saddle Bronc Rider (beating out his closest opponent by three thousand points). The same macho image famously worked for the Marlboro brand some years later. The ad combines the “Experience is the Best Teacher” campaign with the “More Doctors Smoke Camels” campaign.
