Comments:

This advertisement features a woman sitting in the driver’s seat of a carriage as a gentleman stands to the side, coyly smoking a cigarette. The gentleman appeared in other London Life ads as well as a sort of distinguished mascot. The woman in this ad appears to be cheering on competitors in a horse race, binoculars in one hand and a flag waving in the other. Her white dress and rosy cheeks connote purity, while the clock on her stockings speaks to her affluence.

Female, Luxury, Male, Royal
