Paul Derringer (19??-1987) was a major league pitcher who played mainly for the Cincinnati Reds between 1931 and 1945. On May 24, 1935, he beat the Philadelphia Phillies in the first major league night game in history, in which President Franklin D. Roosevelt lit the stadium lights from the white house. He died on November 17, 1987.
