Translation of poem:
Opposed to all forms of worshipping the homeland,

In this ad, one can certainly see how the politics of industry aligned with the politics of governing in Iran in the aftermath of the constitutional revolution under the reign of a new Shah. Iran goes through a period of modernization, westernization, and other global challenges in order to take part in the competitions in the social, political, and economic arenas.

With an effort to prove that Iran was a leading nation in producing their own tobacco and they actually import them to many Middle Eastern countries and the European countries, Iranian Tobacco Company was established.

Use of poetry in a calligraphic style at the bottom, and the name of “Iran” on the package indicates the propaganda for a more domestic cigarettes produced in Iran.
