This comic advertisement depicts a radio announcer’s wife waiting up to hear her husband on the radio. When he finally comes on air, he is coughing up a storm. She discovers he has left his Old Gold cigarettes at home, and has accepted a cigarette from a friend which “always makes him cough.” The comic was illustrated by Clare A. Briggs (1875-1930).
