Comments:

This roller queen has a U.S. Petty Naval Officer Second Class head-over-heels, and he isn’t happy about the fall. She keeps her cool and offers him an Old Gold so he can regain his. At the bottom of the ad, tiny writing reads “Keep on buying war bonds,” providing extra patriotism to the ad. Additionally, the copy text references the WWII cigarette shortage, during which it was difficult to find certain brands on a regular basis.
