When you practice boxing with your five-year old son, you risk a bloody nose, but this father could not be more irritated. His wife comes to the “rescue,” though, with an Old Gold, ensuring her son’s safety. The ad was illustrated by Dorothy Monet (1919-2010), one of a small handful of female advertisement illustrators of the time.
