Comments:

A glamorous woman smokes a Lucky Strike cigarette and claims that “Luckies are always in All-Ways kind to your throat.” This ad presents Lucky Strikes as a “mild” cigarette which will not irritate the throat, or cause harm. In essence, Lucky is claiming a healthy cigarette with the ability to prevent illness, as it claims the toasting process is undergone “for throat protection.” It also claims that its tobacco is healthier and less irritating than the tobacco used in other cigarettes, using adjectives like “clean” and “mildest” when describing its tobacco leaves.
