Comments:

In this ad, Lorillard portrays Old Golds as a cold prevention tool during chilly winter months. The phrase “YOUR THROAT WILL BE GRATEFUL” is written across an image of an elegant woman and two dapper young men, driving happily through the snow in a convertible vehicle. This ad is the most blatant of the Cold Weather ads in its health claims, stating that “Your throat needs Old Golds.” It urges the consumer to prevent throat irritation by switching to Old Golds immediately. “Why take the risk of throat irritation?” the ad asks.

Cough, Irritation, Male, Throat
