Brand:
Du Maurier
Manufacturer:
Columbia Tobacco Company

Tobacco Type:
Cigarette
Quote:

All reputable manufacturers remove impurities from the cut tobacco leaf- but irritants developed when the tobacco burns can be removed only from the smoke itself

Comments:

The “Selective Filter Tip” for du Maurier is advertised as providing “clean smoke” by holding “throat irritants in check.” The ludicrous health claims in this ad are bountiful. Not only is the filter said to “protect your throat from irritation,” but it is also intended to somehow “keep you fit” and “guard physical fitness.” The ad flat-out says that du Maurier is a “cleaner, healthier” smoke, as if a healthy cigarette were a possibility.

Keywords:

Filter, Irritation, Male, Pure, Throat
