Quote:

Masks 'til midnight - that's the rule of Mardi Gras. But no need to mask your feelings about Parliaments.

Comments:

This couple dresses in an oriental style for Mardi Gras. The woman’s headgear, reminiscent of the mokot crown of a Khmer dancer, is accented by Parliament cigarettes which are added to each tier. In addition, the woman holds the box of Parliaments as she looks slyly at the man’s lit cigarette. Each of the ads in this campaign features a woman with a large, blue, decorative beauty mark on her cheek. Here, the background mimics this mole in an abundance of what look to be blueberries, but are more likely Mardi Gras beads. The slogan, “only the flavor touches your lips!” markets Parliaments as a cigarette with a unique recessed filter, which also speaks to the slogan, “You’re so smart to smoke Parliaments,” as the filter was advertised as making Parliaments a safer, more conscientious cigarette.
