Comments:

Dressed in a trendy yet modern green ensemble, this woman delicately perches on a ledge with a lit Lucky Strike cigarette. The forest green of her dress, coupled with the red of her lips and fingernails, reflect the shades of the Lucky Strike pack and demonstrate the ways in which a woman might make the pack match her outfit; Lucky Strike was concerned that the green color of their packs would push away female clients, because green clashed with the fashionable colors at the time. By depicting this trendy woman in its ad, Lucky Strike associates itself with “the height of good taste.” The woman’s flush cheeks and flowers blooming behind her breathe life into her face, and show her in good health.
