The rosy cheeked young women is the object of much interest for the four World War I soldiers. Each soldier is dressed in a uniform representing a different country. The young lady stands under a sprig of mistletoe, indicating that the event is provably a Christmas party. The man on the right, holding the cigarette, wears what appears to be the American uniform. She fans off the other men,and looks over her shoulder. We are to assume that she chooses the American smoking the cigarette.
