Comments:

The doctor is presented as “guarding health” and “protecting and prolonging life,” so if he smokes Camels, the ad reasons, the cigarettes must not be bad for your health. The doctor is presented as a hero, asking for “no special credit” – “When there’s a job to do, he does it.” His sacrifice makes him seem more appealing and trustworthy.
